Our April 4 meeting at Ascension will feature Pastor Rick Langness! He’ll be speaking on “Pre-Marital Jitters: Understanding Genesis 3 in the Light of the Faithful Bridegroom.” Join us at 7 p.m.! We will unwrap the third chapter of Genesis in vies of the understanding that Christ was set apart before the foundation of the world to be the redeeming Groom of His Bride, the Church.
About Pastor Langness: Pastor Langness grew up in Colorado Springs and the surrounding community. Upon graduating from High School, he entered the work force. After marrying his wife Kim, he went to work for his father-in-law managing the family business. Finding that he was a better theologian than businessman, he enrolled at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He was ordained in 2004 and is now serving Immanuel in Englewood as a vacancy pastor. He is the proud father of five and grandfather of eight.
Conference registration is now open!!! On May 3, Dr. Jason Lisle will present a workshop here at Ascension on pre-suppositional apologetics, defending, defending God’s word, God’s way! We’ll follow that on May 3-4 with a conference on Creation and Education in the LCMS. Speakers will include: Mr. Mike Riddle, Dr. Dean Wenthe, President David Maier, President Terry Forke, president John Wille, Dr David Adams, Dr. Joel Heck, Rev. Joshua Scheer, and Dr. Barbara Helmkamp. Then on June 2, we’ll have four nationally known Ph.D. scientists from four different fields talking about the evidence that our earth is young at our “Age of the Earth” Conference at Peace Lutheran Church.
