We’ll be back at Ascension on March 7! Our speaker will be Dr. Titus Kennedy speaking on the topic of the conquest of Jericho. Dr. Titus Kennedy is an archaeologist working primarily with sites and materials related to the Bible, predominantly from the Bronze Age through the Roman period. His fieldwork includes archaeological excavations and surveys at numerous sites in the Middle East and the Americas, and artifact research at museums all over the world. He received his doctorate in Biblical Archaeology from the University of South Africa, two MA degrees in Near Eastern Archaeology and Biblical Archaeology from the University of Toronto and the University of South Africa, and a BA from Biola University. His archaeological interests include Biblical Archaeology, the interplay between ancient documents and the archaeological record, and the similarities between civilizations of antiquity. He teaches courses on archaeology and the ancient world as an adjunct professor, works as a researcher and consultant on media and curriculum projects, and has published numerous articles dealing with archaeology and the Bible.
Conference Registration is Open! On May 3, Dr. Jason Lisle will present a workshop here at Ascension on pre-suppositional apologetics, defending God’s Word, God’s Way! We’ll follow that on May 3-4 with a conference on Creation and Education in the LCMS. Speakers include: Mr. Mike Riddle, Dr. Dean Wenthe, President David Maier, President Terry Forke, President John Wille, Dr. David Adams, Dr. Joel Heck, Rev. Joshua Scheer, and Dr. Barbara Helmkamp.
