Denver Creation Society at Epiphany
April will be another BIG month for the Denver Society of Creation!!! We are pleased to have with us Dr. Kevin Anderson, Ph.D.! Dr.Kevin Anderson earned his PH.D. from Kansas State University in microbiology. Later, he went on the the University of Illinois to start his studies as a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow, and later he became a professor of microbiology at Mississippi stat University. At MSU he taught graduate level molecular genetics courses and also was the major professor for many doctoral and masters students. He then served as a research microbiologist for the United States Department of Agriculture. Since 2003, he has served as the Director of the Van Andel Creation Research Center for the Creation Research Society. He is also presently the Editor-in-chief of the Creation Research Society Quarterly. One of his main areas of research has been the molecular analysis of bacterial interactions and molecular genetics. He has written more than 20 papers in scientific microbiology journals and has given presentations at many nationwide and worldwide scientific meetings. He has done significant research into Dinosaur Soft Tissue with the iDINO Project, and is the author of the book and DVD, Echoes of the Jurassic. Dr. Anderson will speak at our monthly meeting at 7 pm at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Castle Rock. His topic will be, “Why I Am a Creationist.” He will also be speaking at Lutheran High School on Friday and at Shepherd of the Hills adult Bible class on Sunday, April 8.
However I want to especially draw your attention to an event on Saturday, April 7, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We have rented the VIP room at the museum. Dr. Anderson will be speaking about his research on dinosaur soft tissue. Before and after his talk, Russ Carter of BC Tours will be conducting a Biblically correct tour of the Prehistoric Journey Exhibits at the museum. You will also receive a free manual on the exhibits.
