Music Offerings
The Ascension Chorale — The Ascension Chorale leads in worship
each Sunday during the 8:00 AM formal and traditional worship service. They sing
from September 1st through Pentecost. The varied musical styles
reflect Ascension’s desire to encompass the ever-changing and growing culture in
which the church has its’ mission. The choir prepares choral works in addition
to the weekly anthems. Rehearsals during the program year are on Wednesday
evenings 7:00 – 8:45 PM. During Advent and Lent their rehearsal will be
Wednesday evenings 7:45 - 9:15 PM.
Agape Singers — The Agape Singers and Musicians lead the music for
Ascension’s less-formal liturgy at 10:30 AM (10:00 AM in the Summer) on Sundays.
Pre-confirmation Choir — For children in grades 3-6
Confirmation Arts — Music-Drama-Handbells For young people in
grades 7 and 8
Handbell Ensemble — A small two-octave handbell ensemble that
rehearses each week and plays in worship.
Gloria Dei Ringers — A larger three-octave handbell choir that
plays challenging music. They rehearse on a weekly basis and play in worship
approximately every three weeks.
Instrumentalists — All youth and adults who play instruments are
encouraged to offer their talents in order to share and lead in worship. Please
let the Minister of Music know if you play an instrument.
